1940 Vintage Simplicity Pattern 3479 Child’s Dress and Jacket
The jacket sleeve piece is missing! All other pieces have been verified and the instructions are included. The pattern envelope is in poor condition. Because this pattern is from the 40’s I’m surprised it is in existence! The pattern pieces are marked with perforations. This is before my sewing days! Also there are different seam allowances so read the instructions carefully before making. The dress has short sleeves gathered at the armhole. The descriptions are also unique! Such as it states ‘the front opening of the dress is finished with slide fasteners or loops and buttons. The collar is detachable. The jacket is unlined, an extra row of buttons are sewn on to give a double breasted effect. As I mentioned the jacket sleeve piece is missing. Child’s Size 4 which states this is years!
