My Style Pinboard
This is a digitized version of an 1895 split riding skirt in the “double breasted” style. It is shaped by a dart on either side of the front, two darts on either side of the center back, and pleated to size in the back. Two rows of buttons run along the front of either leg. These hold in place a modesty panel which may be attached to the front of the split skirt when desired. The skirt is intended to be approximately calf-length in order to not get caught in your bicycle. In this pattern, a classic bag pocket is included and is hidden in the left-hand side placket closure. Pattern Notes \u0026 Sizing • No seam allowance included. Add as desired. • Waist: 24” • Outside Length: 40 ½” • Inseam: 29 ½” • Seat: 42” • The skirt is drafted intentionally long. The hem is meant to sit at about calf to mid calf. Adjust accordingly to your height. You Will Receive: PDF with pattern sheet to be printed at home on standard 8.5×11\

This is a digital draft-at-home pattern for a lovely French a-line skirt. This is a very stylish, basic model made from only three pattern pieces. The optional waistband is a simple straight band of fabric. This skirt can be sewn in any length but would look best in knee to calf length. Era: 1939-1945. This style came fresh out of Paris in 1939 and was a popular silhouette until the mid-1940s. Fabric: Approximately 3 meters 100 cm wide (3 1/4 yards, 35\

This is a digital sewing pattern for a Fan-Skirt or Umbrella Skirt around 1890. The Fan-Skirt or Umbrella Skirt became fashionable around 1890. The simple but versatile cut, features a narrow waistline, flaring out at the hem keeping the balance with the gigot sleeves, fashionable at that time. Skirts were kept simple, to build a contrast with the rich decorated waists. The hem was supported with an extra layer of buckram or other stiff fabrics, cut on the same shape like the hem, or a straight strip pleated into shape. The skirt is fitted around the hips with darts and has a deep box pleat at the center back, hiding the placket. Pockets at the side seams can be made optional. The skirt pattern is suitable as well for day dress as for trained evening dresses. Consider more yardage for a trained skirts and using striped fabrics – see cutting information. Firmly woven and heavy fabrics optionally can be sewn as single layer. Flatline light and soft fabrics like taffeta or sateen at least with a medium weight cotton fabric. To save time and money sticking lots of sheets together, the pattern of the back part comes shortened. Many of my customers made shortened versions of this skirt for everyday wear. The skirt can be worn with or without a corset. Also suitable for steampunk costumes. →→WHAT YOU RECEIVE←← This is a DIGITAL pattern (PDF), you can download both size ranges and languages after payment has been confirmed.
