This listing is for a digital download for a knitting guide. By popular demand! Here’s a pattern showing you how to do my colour changing technique. I use this in all of my patterns, and now you can use it in your own designs too! This guide is included in all my knitting patterns, so you don’t need to buy both. This file contains the information to do the colour changing technique only, it is not a pattern for a garment. Designed to use up odd ends of yarn so you can knit sustainably – but of course you can buy new yarns too! Contains detailed instructions and everything you need to know to achieve my signature colour marbling effect, just like in the pictures. Happy knitting!

DESIGNER’S NOTES\

Hat knitting patterns

Hat knitting patterns

**This is the listing for the PDF knit pattern only – NOT the finished item. *Please note that this pattern is not intended for experienced knitters. This pattern is for those who are relatively new to knitting and may not have made a hat yet, or are just learning to knit in t
he round. The hat does not include decreasing in the crown – as this is a SIMPLE BEGINNER pattern.* The Classic Simple Stockinette Hat: Are you a beginner knitter? Have you made countless scarves, and are finally ready to take that leap and try your hand at winter hats? Well then this pattern is for you! In this pattern, I have included additional resources and helpful links to video tutorials that relate to each aspect of the pattern. As a beginner, sometimes it is easier to understand specific instructions when you can actually see someone doing it! This pattern is rated at easy/beginner and uses US terminology. The pattern is to make a medium adult sized hat. There are sizing guidelines provided on how to make your hat larger or smaller. You will need: • bulky weight 6 yarn (here I have used Lionbrand Woolease Thick and Quick). I have also included similar yarn substitutions for you, as well as another resource for how to find good yarn substitutions for this pattern and others. • US11/8 mm circular needles (16 inch) • US13/9mm circular needles (16 inch) (Alternatively, you may use double pointed needles) • a yarn needle • optional faux fur pom pom • optional pom maker for a yarn pom pom Included in this pattern: • knitting in the round • rib stitch • stockinette stitch How to access your pattern: After payment is completed, you can download your pattern. Etsy will email you a link to download after purchase. Alternatively, you can find the download file in your purchases, here’s how: Sign into your Etsy account on a web browser. Once you are signed in, select your account in the top, right hand corner. Select purchases and reviews, you should then see your purchases. Select the pattern you purchased, which will take you to a page with a “download files” button. Please contact me if you have any questions with the pattern. I am more than happy to answer any you may have. Enjoy! *The written pattern and photographs in this file are the property of North Mountain Knits. Do not share, alter, resell, or claim this pattern as your own. You may sell the finished product, I only ask that you credit North Mountain Knits as the pattern designer.
