Easy Entrelac Tunisian Crochet Pillows pdf Pattern

Easy Entrelac Tunisian Crochet Pillows pdf Pattern

This pattern contains step-by-step photos and instructions for several configurations of entrelac including diamonds on point, diagonal stripes, around the world, and sunshine and shadow. Instructions are included for a project in each configuration, and instructions are given for using these techniques to make any square or rectangular project of any size from potholders to full-size afghans. Skill level: Intermediate. Materials and gauge: Tunisian crochet entrelac may be worked with any yarn and appropriate hook size. Generally, best results are obtained with any type of Tunisian crochet when it’s worked with a larger hook than you would use for traditional crochet with a particular yarn. The projects in this pattern were made with worsted-weight cotton yarn and size K Tunisian hook. Tunisian crochet is normally worked with a long, straight Tunisian hook; however, since Tunisian entrelac is worked with only a few crochet stitches on the hook
at a time, regular crochet hooks may be used. The technique is Tunisian-but the hook need not necessarily be a Tunisian hook.

Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Crochet Blocks and Stripes Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Mitered Squares, Tunisian Entrelac

Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Crochet Blocks and Stripes Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Mitered Squares, Tunisian Entrelac

This is a crochet pattern instant download PDF and photo tutorial for the Tunisian Crochet Blocks and Stripes Baby Blanket. It has the look of knitting with the ease of crocheting! Best of all, you can crochet the squares in this blanket using a regular crochet hook! This pattern was designed to teach you how to make mitered squares which are joined together with the Tunisian Entrelac technique. This means that there is no need to sew the squares together, because they are joined as you go! Whereas traditional entrelac crochet joins the squares together in a “stair-step” fashion, this pattern creates the squares in straight columns. Detailed instructions are given for the mitered squares and close-up photos help to explain how they are joined to one another. The border is done in single crochet. This 13-page crochet pattern and photo tutorial is designed for the intermediate crochet level. However, it is easy enough to follow that even a beginner at Tunisian crochet who has learned the stitches and knows how to follow a pattern can create this as well. You should be familiar with single crochet, slip stitch, Tunisian simple stitch, Tunisian reverse stitch, and Tunisian knit stitch. Dimensions of the finished blanket are approximately 32\

This listing is for the PATTERN ONLY. This is NOT a listing for a finished item. Entrelac crochet is a technique typically used to create a textured diamond (or square) pattern in two or more colors. Being a lover of Motif designs, with a severe aversion to both weaving in ends and sewing motifs together, entrelac gives me a reprieve from both. While the technique appears to be a complicated mess of sewing, joining and seam matching frustration, the actual material comprises of interconnected squares with NO SEAMS required! This design is rated EASY to INTERMEDIATE; is worked only in Tunisian Simple Stitch (TSS, slst, dc, and sc) and is suitable for the crafter who has tried entrelac crochet before and is ready to expand their skills. Some experience with tunisian entrelac is helpful. Have fun!
