Diamond Lace Pattern Bed Lounge Jacket Knitting Pattern Bust sizes 32-38 Inches. Vintage Materials List 9 [10] oz (240 [280] grams sport yarn 1 pair each number 4 \u0026 5 ( 3 3/4 and 4mm) needles number 4 ( 3 3/4 mm circular needle 4 buttons 1 3/4 yard (1.50m) of ribbon Gauge 20 sts and 28 rows to 4 inches (10cm) in pattern using number 5 (4mm) needles 22 sts and 44 rows to 4 inches (10cm) in garter stitch using number 4 ( 3 3/4mm needles. Note: If necessary, to get the required gauge, change to larger or smaller size needles. http://blog.vintagepatternsdazespast.com/vintage-interchangable-yarn-guide/ You can also find many other online resources covering gauge and interchanging yarns and threads online. BASIC SIZE CHANGE INSTRUCTIONS For each size larger than those given in the directions, add the number of stitches required to make an inch to the number of stitches given to commerce the garment. Of course, if the sweater has a pattern, you must consider the number of stitches required for the pattern. If the directions call for 6 stitches to an inch, in size 16, and you wish to make a sweater in size 18, cast on 6 stitches more than the directions call for. Then follow the directions given. When you reach the neck binding, add 2 of these stitches to each shoulder and bind off 2 more for the neck’s back. In shaping the front, you will have to increase these 2 extra stitches for a size smaller, cast on as many fewer stitches as are required for 1 inch. For 2 sizes larger, add twice the number of stitches required for an inch and bind off 1 more stitch for each side of armholes. Make the armhole 1/2 inch longer at both back and front. For the sleeve, add the number of stitches required for 1 inch to the number of stitches given to commerce. Just a reminder, this is a digital item. Your purchased pattern files will be available for download after your payment is confirmed. Each page of this e-Book has been scanned in high-quality 600 dpi and then digitally restored, giving you that vintage look and feel. Printing your digital pattern is a breeze and saves so much space. Take it from a collector.
