These are my new favourite pants. High waist, contour waistband, double pleated with slash front pockets. These pants are cinched at the waist, loose fit at the leg and tapered at the ankle. This Pattern comes in waist sizes 24 to 30. Best made with woven fabrics with weights between 6-11oz/㎡ *Fabric weight in photos is 9oz/㎡* What you will need to complete this project: Thread 7” zipper One button or snap closure Between 1.5 yards to 2.5 yards or meters of fabric depending on the width Interfacing for the waistband and fly (approximately a ¼ yd) Lining for pockets. If you have some leftover lightweight cotton or suiting wool from another project that would work well or ¼” yard lightweight cotton/wool This pattern comes with an instruction page with a link to a video tutorials a printable envelope packaging and NEW Instruction Booklet included. About Jacqueline Trousers: Jacqueline is a pair of classic trousers with a semi-slim straight fit. Pressed crease lines are found on the front and back of the trousers, on the front passing into pleats at the waist line. Trouser pockets are in the side seams. The trousers have a fly front zipper, elastic band in the back of the waistband and belt loops. Upper edge of the waistband is slightly lower than the natural waistline. Jacqueline trousers fasten with a button and buttonhole, overlapping waistband part fastens with a hook and a loop. The trousers are floor length. Suggested Fabric: Woven fabrics with the following properties are suitable for the Jacqueline Trousers: – Mediu
m weight, with good drape, breathable, soft and non-stretch or with very little stretch, opaque. – the fibre content can include natural (wool, silk, linen), artificial (viscose), blends (wool + silk, wool + polyester, cotton + viscose, etc.) or synthetic (polyester, polyester + elastane); – the following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight wool, gabardine, silk, cupro, silk velvet. They have been shortened and lengthened to accommodate the models’ heights, as you can indeed amend to suit your own height. These are a quick make as there is no fly, just a centre back zip and pockets which are easily inserted into the side seams. Tailor up! The Tatjana Trousers have a flattering high rise, soft pleats, a straight leg, and a floor-grazing length. The front features 2 flat pleats on each side, slant pockets, a fly. On the back, there are 4 darts to provide shaping. The buttoned single welt pockets are functional and also provide visual interest.
