Very Rare Shelley ‘Lilac’ Fine Bone China Tea Plates – Seconds Ware Pattern No. 2221 – features Floral Pattern of Pink and Blue Lilac Sprays with Butterflies on Art Deco Style Plate with Squared Shape, Scalloped Edge and Green Trim. Plates measure 16cm/6.25” square. There are 2 remaining, selling individually. Highly collectable, this pattern appeared on several Shelley cup shapes – Cambridge, Eve, Oxford, Princess, Queen Anne, Regent, Tall Dainty \u0026 York. This style of fancy square plate would be appropriate for all of these shapes except Tall Dainty. Seconds ware pattern No 2221 marked on reverse of all plates. Backstamp includes a circled No.2 to designate seconds ware. Green Shelley logo shield indicates production from 1938-1966 Excellent condition, appear unused. As these are technically seconds, there are tiny manufacturing flaws visible on a few plates – small glaze pinpricks or inclusions, or 1mm of green trim missing in places. My items are packed and shipped within 1 business day. I take great care with my packaging, which has been described by customers as ‘impregnable’ and ‘apocalypse proof’!
