How To Knit A Super Chunky Pullover The ultimate knitting accomplishment. KNITTING. A. SWEATER. (cue dramatic music) The truth is that most sweater patterns and projects seem intimidating if you’ve never done one. In fact, when I googled how to knit a sweater recently, there were very few options that were doable beginner patterns. I found either a much too broad ‘how to’ or patterns that had far too much stitch counting or intermediate stitches for my liking. So I made this super chunky pullover with the beginner in mind. Beginner Friendly Knitting Pattern Gallant Sweater Chunky cropped sweater top-down

Gallant sweater is a beginner friendly top-down knitting pattern. The sweater is bold and chunky knit. It is cropped and it features a simple short turtle neck. Worked in stockinette stitch all the way through. Intended to be worn with little ease. 0-5 cm of positive ease is built into the pattern. Available in English, German, French, Danish and Dutch. Sizes Bust size of the finished sweater with ease built in is XS 31 ½ ”, S 35 ½ ”, M 38”, L 41”, XL 45”, 2XL 49”, 3XL 52”, 4XL 57 ½ “, 5XL 62” inches. Yarn 650, (750), 800, (875), 960, (1040), 1200, (1400), 1500 grams of “Crazy Sexy Wool” from Wool and The Gang, or “The Wool” from We Are Knitters (200 grams = 80 meters /87 yards). Needles For the neck and first half of the yoke you will need (SHORT TIP) 16” US19 (15mm) + 32” or 40” US19 / 15 mm, 80 cm or 100 cm circular knitting needles. Knitting Pattern Top-Down Sweater Pullover Gossamer Twist

Gossamer Twist sweater is a beginner friendly top-down knitting pattern. You will need to be familiar with basic knitting techniques and understand
top-down sweater construction in order to make this garment. You will hold three strands of yarn together throughout the pattern, one strand of wool and two strands of silk mohair. First the neck is worked in twisted rib on short tip circular needles, then you will work the yoke with increases and then separately sleeves and body. Worked in stockinette stitch all the way through. Intended to be worn with little ease. 5-10 cm of positive ease is built into the pattern. Read all the way through before you begin.
