The bag features: – one main interior compartment (lining) with one slip pocket and one zippered pocket. – the bag closes with a magnetic snap. The instructions show the construction of a slouchy looking bag. For the exterior I used medium weight cotton fabric in green. I strongly recommend using a solid color fabric for the exterior which will enhances the pleated front design. For the interior I used light weight floral cotton fabric in contrasting black and white. *** Basic Skills Necessary: You should already know how to use sewing machine. Sizing / Approximate measurements: The bag is 18 inches (45 cm) wide and 24 inches (61 cm) high. Strap drop is 11 inches (28 cm). Materials: – Fabrics if width is 44” or 140 cm: 1 1/2 yard (110 cm) exterior fabric, 1 yard (70 cm) lining fabric – 1 yard (70 cm) fusible batting – 7” (18 cm) regular zipper for the inside pocket – 1 magnetic snap – 1/8 yard (10 cm) interfacing for the zipper and magnetic snap – matching threads – *optional* 1 1/2 yard (110 cm) interfacing of your choice for the pieces cut from exterior fabric if your fabrics are of quilting weight.
