March Socks Knitting Pattern – PDF instant digital download

March Socks Knitting Pattern - PDF instant digital download

****this listing is for my March Socks Knitting PATTERN only**** Intricate, cable detailing is one of my absolute favorite design elements. Once completed, they look so complex and advanced but row by row, they are quite simple. For the March Socks, I drew inspiration from the traveling intricacy of Celtic cable designs to create something modern and unique. These socks are constructed one at a time from the toe, up. Heel is shaped using short rows. If you are familiar with other sock techniques or have a favorite heel construction, you may substitute. Cable instructions are given in both written and charted formats. All of the cables in this pattern are 1×1 and 2×1 cables. This means that it is possible to work them without using a cable needle. This pattern includes mens and womens sizes S-XL. S, (M, L, XL) Finished foot measurement (foot circumference): 7, (8, 9, 10)” Women’s sizing (approximate, based on US shoe sizes): 3-6, (6-9, 8-12, 12+) Men’s sizing (approximate, based on US shoe sizes): 6-8, (8.5-10, 10.5-12, 12.5-14) Help Choosing Size: The slipped stitches and cables make this sock slightly less stretchy than regular stockinette stitch socks. If you tend to be a tight knitter or wear socks a bit snug, you may want to size up. Alternatively, you can just pay careful attention not to pull the yarn behind the slipped stitches too snug. Because these socks have less stretch, they are made using different st counts for some sizes than some of my other sock patterns. For example, size S socks generally have 56 sts around. In this pattern, size S socks will have 60 sts around. Materials (not included): 100g (400-450 yards) Fingering weight yarn (shown in Emma’s Yarn Practically Perfect Sock in the color Kale) Size US 1 (2.25 mm) circular needle for Magic Loop Technique OR Double Pointed Needles Cable Needle Stitch Markers Tapestry needle to weave in ends Gauge: 32 stitches = 4” in stockinette stitch Skill Level: Intermediate + For this knitting pattern, you will need to know how to knit in the round, increase, work German Short rows, and knit cables. Some experience working cable charts is helpful but not required. This pattern is written for both Magic Loop and Double Pointed Needles This pattern is written in US English terminology using Craft Yarn Counsel standard terminology.
