A really gorgeous cosy sock pattern design (Skill level is intermediate), designed as an introduction to making crochet socks and easily adapted to get the fit you prefer. They are perfect to snuggle up on the sofa with to keep your toes cosy and once you have made one pair you will have them whizzing off your hook. As with all my patterns they are written in UK English terms, we are based in the UK. Each round is numbered and each photograph is identified by a letter. Everything is cleared labeled with every photograph linked to the corresponding round and we add extensive pattern notes for you to use throughout the pattern. The sock is worked from the toe to heel and then ankle. Pattern notes are included for each section and we recommend reading them through before starting the pattern and referring back to them as you make your socks. The socks are designed as a leisure sock and have a non fussy fit. I’ve added lots of photos to help you with each stage of the pattern, in particular the heel. There is no seams in the sock pattern. The pattern uses dc, and htr throughout with some half front post treble and half back post treble for the top of the socks.I’ve included a tutorial for this stitch on page 9. Skill level is intermediate. A 10 page PDF pattern containing more than 30 photos. The following sizes are as a guide and used throughout the pattern but easily adapted to fit a larger or smaller size see below: The measurements are a guide for sizes 4-5 \u0026 5-6 for larger sizes simply add more rounds for smaller sizes add less. My finished sock for size 4-5 measured approx sock 9” (23cm) in length and 9.5cm (3.75”) width when laid flat. If you want to make a smaller size you could try using a smaller hook and work less rows to the heel. US ch = chain chain ss= slip stitch slip stitch tr = treble double crochet sp = space space htr= half treble half treble dc = double crochet single crochet. 4mm hook \u0026 3.5mm hook (for the “rib” tops) Main yarn dk approx 60grams ~ contrast yarn approx 20 grams (or 3 mini 20grams skeins plus 1 undyed skein) Any DK knitting yarn we have used our own hand dyed yarn in a variety of shades. 100% merino and a mix of merino and stellina sparkle.
