As provided, the patterns make a 3 x 5-3/4 inch fish. For other sizes, a percentages chart (included) guides you in resizing the fish pattern as desired. A tessellation is a design where a shape (like this cute little fish) is repeated and interlocked like jigsaw pieces, with no spaces between the shapes. This paper pieced quilt pattern will show you how to make a quilt of any size covered in these little fish. It’s a great design for using up lots of colorful scraps, but the pattern also include yardage amounts in case you’re buying fabric. Using the coloring page provided, careful advance planning of your color scheme and fabric placement is essential for successfully sewing this intermediate level level paper piecing pattern.
