Nonspecific Bowel Pattern Guide

Gwen’s kitchen towels

Gwen’s kitchen towels

Here’s a knitted towel pattern that DOESN’T NEED A BUTTON and WON’T SLIP OFF THE HANDLE! It also has twice the drying space of the usual knitted towel. It’s knitted with soft cotton worsted weight yarn in garter stitch, has a slipped stitch edge and a keyhole placed midway through that allows one end of the towel to pull through the other for a decorative but highly functional kitchen towel. Use neutral colors or fun, colorful strips! Knit a couple of coordinating towels for yourself, and a couple more to give! Makes a great gift paired with a dishcloth, soap, or other kitchen gift. **This is a PDF knitting pattern, not a product.** Finished size – 8 x 27 inches Yarn used – 186 yards Hobby Lobby I Love This Cotton (174 yds. curry + 12 yds. contrasting color) for yellow towel, OR 197 yards Lily Sugar ‘n Cream (185 yds. ecru + 12 yds. contrasting color) for ecru towel Needle size – US 8 – 5.0mm Gauge 18 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch. ***The Matching Dishcloth is available on both Lovecrafts and Ravelry.*** Copyright © 2021 Carol Trouba. The Cottage Tea Towel is a simple yet pretty dish towel made with the linen stitch to give it an interesting texture, and almost woven-like appearance. I highly recommend using a (non-mercerized) cotton yarn for this (maybe even a recycled one?!) as cotton is sturdy, absorbent, and can also be machine-washed!
