An essential baby beanie with a playful top knot. The pattern is beginner friendly and easy to follow. The beanie is worked in the round without seams, from the bottom up. Instructions are provided for both Magic Loop and DPN knitters. Eight sizes are available with a measurement reference table (Preemie, Newborn, 1-3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years). Use smaller or larger needles to obtain the required gauge. Tapestry needle for weaving in the ends, four stitch markers (for magic loop only). Optional: round counter. YARN \u0026 GAUGE Any worsted weight yarn that meets the gauge requirements or 18 stitches and 24 rows in 10cm/2.5 in. You will need approximately 40/46/52/58/68/74/80/88 meters (44/50/57/63/74/81/87/96 yards) of worsted yarn for a hat depending on the selected size. It’s very stretchy, so it fits infants for a longer amount of time. It’s also such a simple pattern that it’s easily adjustable for whatever you need. I have included the patterns for newborn to large adult size, but feel free to adjust it as you’d like! Add stripes, make it single layer or a folded brim! A classic, functional accessory that will keep you or your infants cozy all winter! It’s perfect for a gift, or make 5 in different colors and keep all for yourself! This is a knitting pattern for beginner knitters, and assumes the user is familiar with knit, purl and decreasing. Written in standard American knitting instructions (written; not charted).
