This angelic dress pattern is a vintage inspired dress with just enough lace around the neck and on the shoulders to sweetly frame a little girl’s face without overwhelming her. The dress is accented with beautiful heirloom laces. French lace edgings are pin-stitched underneath the bias neckband and the cap sleeves have layers of ecru French lace edgings for a truly vintage look. Machine appliqué cord technique that creates the decorative yoke seams. Hand-made ecru silk ribbon rosettes finish the dress front and sweet pearl buttons close the dress back. The hemline features more of the French lace edging attached with the machine pin-stitch. This dress is a gorgeous dress for a portrait, wedding, Easter, etc. The center section of this dress provides a wonderful area that can be embellished with hand or machine embroidery. No embroidery design is included nor are any instructions for hand embroidery. Pictures of embroidery are for inspiration. Detailed instructions are included for creating a perfect pin-stitch on your sewing machine. To create the identical look as pictured, a machine that does a pin-stitch is required. Creating the dress without a pin-stitch is also an option and would be easier to sew. A previous knowledge of heirloom sewing techniques is helpful. The pattern is for intermediate to advanced seamstresses. This pattern is a loose fitting pattern and is offered in sizes 2, 4 \u0026 6 and will accommodate sizes in between as well.
