Art Glass depictions of the Ocean

Every picture is individually made so no two are ever exactly the same, due to the unpredictable nature of glass when it is heated to high kiln temperatures. Every picture comes complete with a solid wooden stand. The item received may vary very slightly from the one shown in the photos, but will match as closely as possible to the design and colours. Menorah

This fused glass patchwork dish was made with transparent opaline and opaque blue art glass. Over 100 strips of glass were hand cut, then carefully arranged on edge in a patchwork pattern. Alternating the transparent and opaque pieces gives the illusion of floating strips. The piece was fused, cold worked with diamond hand pads, fire polished and slumped in a curved mold. Handmade fused glass “Retro Meadow” flower meadow framed wall art. Size – 43cm x 43cm (including frame) Made by me “Kirstyn” aka Cornish fused glass in my studio here in the middle of Cornwall. These series of artworks have been created to reflect my love of flowers, nature and anything colourful. Growing up and living in Cornwall I have always had the pleasure of many day trips to our beautiful beach’s and glorious woods. I am very much inspired by all of these stunning places when it comes to creating my fused glass art. The colours in this artwork are a selection of bullseyes finest opal and transparent powdered and sheet glass. The glass art comes framed as you can see in the photographs.
