In 1985 I made my first doll cradle purse from a pattern that used the bottom of a plastic fabric softener bottle as the bottom of the purse and crocheting into holes punched into the plastic to create the cradle skirt and hood. It was cute but I didn’t really like the plastic so, based on the fabric softener bottle pattern, I designed this easy pattern that was all crochet. In the years since, I have made many different doll purses but this simple pattern is still my favorite. Add your own touches like ribbon, bows and tiny roses for a one of a kind gift.
