Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Crochet Blocks and Stripes Baby Blanket Pattern, Tunisian Mitered Squares, Tunisian Entrelac
This is a crochet pattern instant download PDF and photo tutorial for the Tunisian Crochet Blocks and Stripes Baby Blanket. It has the look of knitting with the ease of crocheting! Best of all, you can crochet the squares in this blanket using a regular crochet hook! This pattern was designed to teach you how to make mitered squares which are joined together with the Tunisian Entrelac technique. This means that there is no need to sew the squares together, because they are joined as you go! Whereas traditional entrelac crochet joins the squares together in a “stair-step” fashion, this pattern creates the squares in straight columns. Detailed instructions are given for the mitered squares and close-up photos help to explain how they are joined to one another. The border is done in single crochet. This 13-page crochet pattern and photo tutorial is designed for the intermediate crochet level. However, it is easy enough to follow that even a beginner at Tunisian crochet who has learned the stitches and knows how to follow a pattern can create this as well. You should be familiar with single crochet, slip stitch, Tunisian simple stitch, Tunisian reverse stitch, and Tunisian knit stitch. Dimensions of the finished blanket are approximately 32\
SINGLE CROCHET JOIN both Regular jayg and continuous jayg using plt join /join granny squares/easy crochet pattern/3 joins in one
Introduction This join is meant to be used on a blanket with any size squares and any number of squares in each row and column. I have provided both the regular join as you go version, and the continuous join as you go version so that you can use whichever method you prefer. If you are feeling adventurous, try the continuous JAYG, as it only requires sewing of 2 yarn ends, and also gives a nice strong “net” to promote the integrity of your blanket. This joining method uses my PLT Join. I created this join in 2012 and first published it in my Gumball Blanket pattern. I used the flat braid join methods of Priscilla Hewitt (my crochet idol) to develop the PLT Join. I am so proud that you can now find people using PLT Join all over the place! Click here to read more details on this simple (and useful!) joining maneuver. I follow hashtags: #PLTJoin and #CypressTextiles Note: This pattern is written in US Terms only because it uses only Single Crochet stitch. If you are used to UK Terms, remember: (US) SC = (UK) DC Stitch Abbreviations beg beginning ch chain lp(s) loop(s) rem remaining rep rep rnd round sc single crochet sk skip sp space ss Ss st(s) stitch(es) yoh yarn over hook _______________________________________________________________ Shop Other Sections!
