The Sahara Dress, Tunic \u0026 Top pdf sewing pattern is one of my favorite girls dress patterns. This sophisticated and elegant dress is a must-have in your child’s wardrobe. The design features a low scoop front and back; sleeveless, short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, and long sleeves and fully lined bodice. The dress has a full circle skirt that your child will love to twirl. The design comes with three lengths; top length (hits at the hips), tunic length (hits mid-thigh), and dress length (hits just above the knees). It is a perfect dress, every day and all year round! Materials needed for this pdf sewing pattern include 4-way stretch knit fabric with at least a 50% stretch but no more than 75% stretch. We recommend a blend of at least 5% spandex/lycra for good recovery. A lightweight spandex/lycra is recommended for the lining. Avoid loose knits (they tend to stretch and sag and do not have a good recovery). Avoid also 2-way stretch widthwise knits. Recommended fabrics include cotton lycra, rayon blends, and double brushed poly. We also recommend clear elastic to stabilize the garment.
