Celtic Knot of Four Hearts-Family Love Knot Wood Carving
MEANING: To the Celts, a knot formed from one continuous line evoked eternity. Hearts symbolize Love and Relationships. In numerology, every number has a certain power. The symbolic meaning of number Four deals with stability and invokes the grounded nature of all things. Consider the four seasons, four directions, four elements…all these amazingly powerful essences wrapped up in the nice square package of Four. Fours represent solidity, calmness, and home. Here are 4 hearts, facing four directions, formed from one continuous line. Can you find all four? This multiple heart shaped knot brings a warm, loving, grounding energy into your home. It would also be a beautiful representation of a family of four! For a more Stylized version, please see: https://www.etsy.com/listing/156896175/stylized-knot-of-four-hearts-celtic-wood THE CARVING: Our carvings are single pieces of western red cedar, designed and carved to be wall hangings. Each carving begins as a 1 X 12 inch cedar board. While we use power tools (Scroll Saw, Rotary shaft Tool, handheld detail sanders etc.), we use no laser’s, CNC machines or computer operated cutting machines. All work is done with our hands and eyes… We cut the 2 dimensional blanks with scroll and jig saws (double-sized custom orders have to be cut with jigsaw). Carving is done with rotary shaft tools and disc grinders. The 80 grit sanding is the final phase of the carving process, removing the nicks and gouges from the carving tools, and finishes the shaping of the weave. The next 2 sandings with 120 then 220 grit finishes the smoothing and polishing. They are finished with Clear Danish Oil to seal the piece, bringing out the grain and the color. SIZE: One picture has the piece on a quilting board, lined up on the 1 inch marks. The quilting board, at its simplest, is a one inch grid. So with the piece on the board, you look at the top and follow the line to the left and look at the right side at the widest point and follow the line to the bottom and you have height by width…but wait! It’s not that easy! The way this board I have is laid out, if I lined it up on the zero points it would cover up the numbers and on some pieces you wouldn’t be able to see them…so, I line it up on the 1 inch marks which means when you get the numbers, you have to subtract 1 inch… TA DA! Measurements may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Celtic Owl Necklace Carved In Irish Chestnut, Small Wooden Owl Pendant, Unique Barn Owl Celtic Jewelry Gift, Handmade In Ireland
This beautiful and unique carved Celtic owl necklace will be made for you, or a loved one, in my studio on the West of Ireland. This dainty owl pendant features a piece of Chestnut, recycled from musical instruments constructed by a local luthier. As a musician myself, I take enormous satisfaction in creating a piece of jewellery whose inherent wood has previously featured in a beautiful hand-made harp! Owls have enchanted the ancient Celts. They are most often associated with the Crone aspect of the Goddess (the Celtic owl is almost always female). The owl is often a guide to and through the Underworld, a creature of keen sight in darkness, and a silent and swift hunter. It is said that it can help unmask those who would deceive you or take advantage of you. This Barn Owl necklace is the perfect gift for anyone with Irish heritage or for someone who resonates with the Celtic myths and traditions of the natural world. – Irish Chestnut, sanded to a smooth finish – Non-toxic oil finish to seal the wood \u0026 enhance its natural color – Pendant size : 38 x 15mm / 1.5 x 0.6 Inches – With a quality cast and lead free Celtic bail attached – Necklace comes on 16\
