PLEASE NOTE – I am based in the United Kingdom and my pattern is written in English using UK terminology. This listing is for a pattern but if you would like a custom made hat, please follow this link: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/600934951/hand-knitted-campervan-beanie-bobble-hat This PDF knitting pattern for a Campervan Beanie / Bobble Hat knitting pattern calls for Super Chunky yarn and some nice fat 8mm knitting needles, extremely warm and not too many stitches! The hat can be knitted either in the round or on straight needles, I’ve included instructions for both You’ll need Super Chunky yarn of approximately 60g/50 metres each in Grey and Cream plus oddments of darker Grey/Black for the sheep and your chosen campervan colour. I also used some chunky yarn in Dark Grey and Cream for the campervan wheels. The hat is knitted to a tension/gauge of 14 rows and 10 stitches to 4 inches/10 centimetres. I used 8mm needles but as we all knit differently it is definitely worth the effort of making a tension/gauge square first, after all, you’ll want your hat to fit! I crocheted the wheels using a 5mm hook but you can also use 3cm buttons or some felt circles. Actual head sizes covered are from 17″/43 cm up to 24″/61 cm, the finished hat should be around 2″/5 cm smaller than the head size. I’ve created instructions for 4 different sizes, Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large.
