n your fingers and toes with this fast and easy-to-learn herringbone ring tutorial! After making the ring in the tutorial with using size 11 Delicas, size 15 seed beads, four 3mm crystals and a center 4mm crystal, you’ll have the basic techniques to make a ring with any combination of colors and crystals, pearls, semiprecious gems, etc. It’s a great way to use smaller amounts of leftover beads and crystals. I have recently added a second tutorial for a 3 crystal ring developed for a class I gave to my local bead society (Emerald Coast Bead Society). With only three inserts it can be made even faster! There is some redundancy with the original tutorial but you can pick and choose what is most helpful for your level. These are fun to make and a great gift to give to friends. You can make one to match every outfit. You can make a special ring with someone’s birthstone or favorite colors. The tutorial is recommended for the beginner who has at least some basic beadweaving experience through the intermediate beader. It is 12 pages with written directions, and over 35 photos and 16 vector diagrams to walk you through each step of learning herringbone stitch and how to add larger beads to your work. Once you learn how to do this for a ring, you’ll enjoy making more complex pieces and bracelets.
