This pattern produces an 18 inch doll-scale replica of the modern Army Combat Uniform (ACU), the official battle uniform of the United States Army since 2004. To honor the men and women who wear this uniform in real life, we worked to get the details of the doll version exactly right. Just like the real thing, our SHIRT JACKET features a separating zipper and Mandarin collar tab closure, easy-access angled chest and sleeve pockets, a back bellows for mobility, tab closure sleeve cuffs and detachable name/branch/rank and flag patches with recommendations for adding lettering and images to the patches. The PANTS feature a front fly opening, belt loops, easy-access angled above-knee cargo pockets, ankle cargo pockets and drawstring hems. The SHORT SLEEVE T-SHIRT features a lie-flat collar while the HELMET COVER fits snugly and reversibly on a variety of separately purchased helmets. We have even included directions for modifying the helmet cover pattern for a perfect fit on whatever helmet you already own.
