A very easy pattern using a combination of knitting stitches to create the perfect baby blanket. This generously sized blanket is knit all in one piece without picking up stitches for the border. *You will need approx. 200 grams of DK baby yarn (620 metres approx) I used Supreme Soft \u0026 Gentle DK by James C Brett *One pair of 5 mm UK size , (size 8 USA size) knitting needles. I would recommend using 80cm circular needles for this project to hold all the stitches. Approximate finished size of blanket 34 x 27 inches. The Brighten Blanket was designed to be a simple, natural and timeless blanket. Included are instructions for both a baby blanket size and the throw size. It is easy to make because it is made up of basic knit and purl stitches, yet the different sections keep it interesting. The baby blanket size is knit with worsted weight (10 ply) yarn and size 8 needles. The throw size is knit with super bulky yarn and size 13 needles. The finished size of the baby blanket is approximately 29 by 35 inches.
