There’s a flurry of Christmas sewing going on across the internet at the moment. Its lovely to see so many gorgeous gifts being made and exchanged, with so much thought and love sewn into each and every stitch. Instead of giving you a pattern this year, I decided to design a free Christmas block which can be used in what ever project you are planning or working on during this festive season. I kept it simple; a two toned paper pieced, five pointed star which is perfect for Christmas and all of those projects you may have planned. This wrapped star quilting block pattern can be made by implementing the use of the templates that we present here. Scraps can be used or you can use materials that we have suggested. Our suggested material amounts are an over-exaggeration, so if you make a mistake you always have more fabric to work with. Our pattern makes a 10×10 inch quilting block with a 1/4 inch grace allowance. This way you can make any size quilt you desire within 10 inch increments of your desired result. You should already know how to to use a quilt pattern with templates. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Finished quilting block is 10×10 inches with a 1/4 inch grace allowance for piecing. MATERIALS: Fabric in 4 different colors (1/4 yard each preferred or scraps, but less will be used).
