PATTERN: Victorian Steampunk Lace Boot Toppers
This listing is for the pattern for my Victorian Steampunk Boot Cuffs/Toppers. Advanced beginner/Intermediate level Crochet Materials: Soft worsted weight yarn (4). I used Red Heart Soft, almost one skein for both toppers. Sizes G and I hooks Tapestry needle for sewing in ends Tape measure Stitches needed: CH – chain SC – single crochet HDC – half double crochet SL ST – slip stitch YO – yarn over Puff stitch (details in the pattern) Picot (also explained in the pattern) If you are careful and go step by step, reading closely, it’s not hard. Take it one step at a time, but read through everything first. It is impossible for me to take responsibility for someone not reading the directions and skipping steps. The pattern has pictures to help with the instructions, too. If you’d like me to make these for you (any color you want) I have a listing for them. Thanks!
Victorian Knitting Pattern, 4 Lace Edgings and Insertions
From the 1892 book, The Art of Knitting, this set of instructions includes four separate laces – 3 edges and 1 insertion. I’ve taken the original instructions, translated it to more modern written instructions as well as created a lace chart to follow for each one! For one of the lace instructions, one line is particularly tough, so I’ve included both a video link and pictures to illustrate how to knit it. This lace is worked on the short side, so the more repeats knit, the longer the lace trim becomes. These are very beautiful lace edgings and insertion, and the yarn, needle size, and number of repeats can be altered to make exactly the size of lace trim needed. If you are interested to see what my patterns look like, feel free to download one of my free patterns: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/no-62-lace-edging Videos which include me working on the four lace patterns: https://youtu.be/lMdOxxpf_Y4 https://youtu.be/z52f0dlXcAs https://youtu.be/A9tNVNB-R_E Please note that this is a set of knitting patterns, not a finished product. — NOTE — If you purchased this pattern before 9/28/2020, please send me a message so I can verify your purchase and send you an updated pattern!
