Here I walk you through the sewing of my Edwardian “S-Bend” corset, using a real historical pattern.

Close-fitting, lined, boned, gathered top has attached stand-up collar, yokes, and four-piece, gathered sleeve variations. A: Epaulettes and purchased appliqués. B: Hand-tacked collar overlay and flared sleeves. Underlined skirt has waistband, gored seams, back (extends into train) pleats, and placket. Top and Skirt: bias neck/hem binding, and purchased trim.
