The photo above © sboots What beautiful knitting scarf! I found it on Ravelry… The pattern is fairly tedious at first however I would advise watching a video of entrelac knitting on youtube to get started. After you see how the knit is done it’s fairly easy to get a grasp of. Downl

Knitting Techniques

Knitting Techniques

All this hat is knitted as „flat knitting“ method. (not in the round). The architecture of entrelac is different from that of other types of knitting. Entrelac fabric is composed of tiers of blocks that are set on their points, forming diamond shapes. Each block is worked individually and joined to its neighbor as it is being knit. You have to had some knitting skills. Not for beginner knitters. I think – it’s intermediate. Yarn: Katia Azteca (Weight Aran) or something else the same type yarn. Meterage 196 yards (180 meters) Unit weight 100 grams (3.5 ounces) Recommend hand wash and flat dry. Nature of striping yarn there is no guarantee that another hat knit in this pattern will knit up the same as the original. Hat weight = about 120gr. Finished size: Normal women sizes (hat in the Picture): Depth – 26cm (10“) (without pom-pom) Circ – 46cm (18“) Fix to head about 57-58cm (22“) Needles: 4,5 mm (approx US 7) circular needle or 4,5 mm straight Gauge: 17.0 sts = 4 inches (10 cm) (rib) Pattern part – 14 sts = 4 inches (10cm) Pattern is tested. But if you find mistakes – plase contact with me:))
