You need to know the basics of tatting to be able to follow this pattern, as it does not include any basic tatting instruction. This is a 1 shuttle with ball of thread pattern which I have designed and prepared in PDF format. Although it may be tatted using either needle or shuttle, the instructions and photos are shown from the shuttle tatting perspective only. Directions are given for tatting the tree with or without beads. The finished tree measures about 1 and 1/2” (3.8cm) tall in size 20 Lizbeth thread, and about 2” (5cm) tall in size 10. The 4 page file includes: *Written instructions in English, *In-progress photographs. No diagram in this pattern. Techniques used include ring, picot, chain, join, lock join, lock stitch chain, and dimpled ring. It may be needle tatted, but the directions only show shuttle tatting.
