The throw size cover quilt was made with 4 different colors: Light Gray, Medium Gray, Dark Gray, and Yellow. Each color had 3 different fabrics. Don’t limit yourself to rainbow colors – any fabric collection would look great weaving in and out in this design. All pattern sales are final. This Flying Geese set of 4 quilting block patterns can be made with expert precision by implementing the paper piecing foundation pattern that we present here. This set includes patterns for the following: Flying Geese 6 Flying Geese 4 Alternate Flying Geese Mosaic Fly Away Flying Geese Scraps can be used or you can use materials that we have suggested. Our suggested material amounts are an over-exaggeration, so if you make a mistake you always have more fabric to work with. Our pattern makes 6×6 inch quilting blocks with a 1/4 inch grace allowance. This way you can make any size quilt you desire within 6 inch increments of your desired result. Our directions will walk you through the whole process of using our patterns to make beautiful foundation quilting blocks. You should already know how to piece together blocks and it’s best to know how to use a paper piecing pattern. Even if you’ve never used one before, we walk you through it in our directions. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Finished quilting blocks are 6×6 inches with a 1/4 inch grace allowance for piecing. MATERIALS: Fabric in 3-8 different colors depending on the blocks (1/4 yard each prefered, but less will be used. Scraps can be used instead or in addition to the recommended fabrics). 57in x 71in . This bright breezy flying geese quilt comes together surprisingly quickly. It is stunning in rainbow colours as shown here but would be equally effective in more subdued palettes. The 1/4 yard cuts of fabric allow quick and easy strip piecing of the piano key border and greatly reduce the number of individual patches that need to be cut. However, if you prefer to use smaller scraps the pattern also lists the required number and sizes of patches required to piece the quilt without strip-piecing. The pattern includes over 30 crisp diagrams to help you visualize the steps and keep track of the pieced sections.
