An easy-to-knit traditional K2, P2 ribbed watch cap with folded up brim to knit in hand-painted colors or solids – either way looks great! I wrote the pattern with row-by-row instructions for ease in following, and it includes instructions for kitting either flat with a seam or in the round. Four sizes are given: 2-4 years, 4 years to Small Adult, Medium Adult and Large Adult Yardage is approximately 120 to 220 yards worsted weight yarn Pattern is written for Worsted Weight yarn, although it’s easy enough to adjust for different weights. Gauge is 5 sts per inch in stockinette stitch on US size 6 (4mm) needles. K2, P2 rib gauge will vary as ribbing stretches considerably. I knit the striped blue/green model in Lorna’s Laces “Shepherd Wool” in worsted weight – the striping happened naturally as I knitted it in the round.
