Sewing Pattern for Bag Sewing pattern for a large tote bag made with various fat quarters of fabric. This bag is easy and fun to sew. The bag is made using 6 different fat quarter cuts of fabric and less than a yard of decor bond for the interfacing. If you have basic sewing skills and are familiar with sewing bags you can make this bag in a day or less. Other supplies needed to complete this project are a sewing machine in good working order, size 80 or 90 sewing machine needles plus a size 100 denim needle, sewing machine thread, rotary cutter and 2 large buttons for the lower corners of the bag as seen in the one photo. The finished bag measures 20 inches across the top, or 40 inches around, 17 inches across the bottom, and approximately 15 to 16 inches tall. The bag has 1 outer pocket and 1 inner pocket. This bag is perfect for knitting or crochet projects, to take to a sewing class or to hold library books. It can also be used as a cute grocery shopping bag – lots of great uses for this pattern.
