The project is from my book – Embroidered Country Gardens – and takes the beginner through a number of stitches. Little birds : a sewing pattern

This is a sewing pattern (downloadable PDF) for a little bird designed by Ann Wood. You will need Adobe Reader (free) to view this pattern Skill level is advanced beginners to intermediate – small curves with small seam allowances – definitely tricky but I’ve included a video link within the pattern that’s helpful. Sparrow Bird and Baby chicken crochet pattern, PDF file. English USA, Russian, Dutch, and French. This cute crochet Sparrow Bird you can crochet by yourself. Pattern is easy to follow. If you use super fine (#1) yarn you get real size bird. Materials you will need: Fir Sparrow: Wool yarn (at least 75% of wool). I use Patons Kroy Socks yarn, super fine (#1). Color flax. You can make 2-3 birds from 1 skein. 1skein is 50gr/1.75oz, 152m/166yrd For Baby chicken: yellow mohar and regular acrylic yarn (sport or light weight) .
