This ride is a very special one as it rotates 360 degrees, just like a real swinging carousel! Suspended from the carousel rim, hanging by short pieces of ch
ain, are 5 little swing chairs. As you turn the carousel the swings extend outwards. The 3D Swinging Carousel has been designed sit on a mantle piece as part of a fairground scene. Made using Round Peyote and Odd count Peyote the Swinging Carousel takes around 6-7 hours to bead. As usual with ThreadABead featured patterns we give full detailed photographic instructions and in this pattern there are 109 detailed steps, making this pattern even suitable for beginners to beading. Please note the pattern may not work with any other size and type of beads. There are 5 colours in total and the finished beadwork is approximately 3.75cm (w) x 3.75 (d) x 7 (h) cm. 2 x Gold Plated Head Pins, 8 x 6mm Crystal AB, 1 x 8mm Crystal AB, 1 x 6mm 24ct Gold Plated is required along with a length of thin trace chain approximately 12.25cm and a small thin piece of clear plastic such as acetate, which can be found on used food packaging etc. A no tangle thread bobbin is also useful. Additional tools used in assembly are round nosed pliers, cutters and flat nosed pliers. If you are not familiar with this, search YouTube for an explanation of these techniques. This pattern states: – the colors used SuperDuo beads with color number and sead beads 11/0, – the amount of beads per color, – other supplies, – a written pattern. The bowl is 2 cm. high and 5 cm. in section. So about 3/4 inch high and about 2 inches in section. Several variants of the dish are included in the PDF: – pattern bowl in 4 colors – pattern bowl in 2 colors – pattern striped bowl in 2 colors – pattern bowl in one color. 2 PDFs are included: an English and a Dutch version of the pattern.
