Notice that the primary stripes in this towel are in the center. That seemed to be a good place to place the stripes, because we usually fold a towel in thirds, hang it with the center facing out, and the visual interest is at the edges where we don’t see it! The draft is adapted from Ester Perheentupa’s #41 draft in Davison, A Hand- Weaver’s Pattern Book,p.37.Click here to purchase this draft as part of a project kit. Equipment: 4-shaft loom, minimum 24” weaving width, 10-dent reed, one boat shuttle. Temple optional, but helpful. Finished Size: approx. 17” x 28”, hemmed, after machine wash and dry. Warp Yarn: Valley Yarns 8/2 Un-mercerized Cotton (100% Cotton; 3360 yds/lb) #2550 Nautical Blue 918 yds #8001 White 267 yds.
