The pattern to make this hood comes as a digital pdf download. Inspired by vintage balaclavas, the Bug Hood is a versatile winter essential. A super warm snood, a cosy balaclava and a functioning hood, all in one! The perfect layering accessory.  With step by step, easy to follow instructions it’s a fast but fun project using the following techniques: Long tail cast on, 1×1 rib stitch, stocking stitch, increasing and decreasing, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, Invisible seam or crochet join. Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate.  Yarn: Aran/Worsted weight yarn. Suggested Needle Size:  6.5mm/US 10.5 circular knitting needles, length 50cm/20” and 7mm/US 10.5 knitting needles. Size: One Size. The bug hood has a neck circumference of 33cm/13” flat. Due to the nature of the ribbed knit, it can stretch comfortably to a circumference of up to 66cm/26” to fit over the head. The face opening of the hood has a circumference of 48cm/19” flat and can stretch comfortably to 72cm/28.25 to fit around the face when worn as a balaclava.   Pattern written in English

PDF Pattern #247 Maid Marian Hood and Cowl Unisex Hat Maid Marian’s Hooded Bandana Cowl is the companion pattern to Robin Hood’s Bandana Cowl. Marian’s Hooded Cowl has different features such as a moss stitch hood border, a cable patterned front, and a slightly smaller hood. A generous hood and stylish shape make this a unique accessory. ~*PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING!*~ First – this is a listing for a digital PDF file for A CROCHET PATTERN, NOT THE ITEM ITSELF. Second, the pattern for this unique easy shawl is also available for FREE on my blog here: https://moralefiber.blog/2020/09/16/novella-shawl-pattern/ – the paid pattern version is available in my shop here for those who want the portability and printability of a PDF – or if you just love me and want to give me yarn money 😉 The Novella Shawl is an easy crochet pattern designed to showcase the unique texture of linked double crochet. This thick, interwoven crochet stitch calls to mind the cozy look of loom weaving while the dramatic point and slight ruffle create a tailored look that flatters. Crochet just the shawl or choose to top it off with a deep hood and fur trim for a really special piece to show off on all your woodland wanderings… Pattern includes detailed written instructions along with photo tutorial images with figured references. The featured stitching technique, linked double crochet, is available as a free tutorial on my blog and video tutorial on my YouTube channel for those who may not have used this wonderful technique before.
