The technique we utilize is called “soft soldering” also known as the “Louise Tiffany Method”. This approach has been used for centuries by stained glass artists all over the world, specifically for decorating cathedrals, chateaus and mansions. Large Iridescent winged dragonfly suncatcher. The background glass is the fracture streamer glass I made in my kiln. The lavender border glass is recycled from an old church in Chicago that was torn down in the 70’s. This is one of my new favs!
