Cut Cake Patterns

Some Web sites and books even offer detailed patterns or grids that can be traced, cut out, and used as cake designs. Baker's Angel Flake Coconut (General Foods) put out several different recipe booklets that featured different Cut-Up Cake designs. Lay the pattern A on top of the cake and use a couple of toothpicks to keep it in place. Print out and cut out each pattern piece. Place the cut out pattern pieces on top of the 9″ square layer. Use a sharp knife to cut out the cake pieces. This is how I cut the sheet cake to make the tractor cake in my gallery.
